It’s been a while since I posted a video of our agility practice, so here’s some footage from tonight’s class. I’m really proud of her weaves and she stayed pretty focused even when I messed up the handling!

Way back in September, we decided that it was time for Nova to take a little break from agility class. She was too unfocused and really needed to spend time on some basic foundation work, learning to work with me.
This is Nova’s first foundation jumping session. We’re going through Susan Salo’s foundation jumping DVD [Amazon] [Clean Run] and this is the set point exercise. I show Nova doing a variety of heights at both 100% and 25% speed.
After taking a break from agility for several months, and starting up slowly, I decided it was time to try doing some agility with Nova off leash. Watch the video to see what happened.
Nova has been doing really well at home and at open agility nights lately. This video shows some of the highlights from our sessions on March 30 and April 27. The goal was to monitor her performance on-lead in the hopes that we’d be able to try taking her off leash for the first time since her agility return.
