Mystery Project Planning

After winning a 3-month membership to the local workshop, TechShop, I've been trying to come up with a good project to take advantage of the resources. I was also given a free class, so I took the basic wood shop class, which granted me access to several of the main tools in the wood shop area, and have finally come up with an idea.

After winning a 3-month membership to the local workshop, TechShop, I’ve been trying to come up with a good project to take advantage of the resources. I won’t quite say exactly what it’s for until I’m done (success or fail), but the drawings are to scale (1 sq. = 2 sq. in). I’m still working on some of the details on construction, but I should be able to get everything done much cheaper than buying it and I should end up with a higher quality product. Any woodworking tips are welcome!
