Yesterday we showed you a sneak peek of our guest room when we revealed our headboard project, but that’s not the only progress we have made on that room so far. When we moved in, the room looked like this:
The pink-ish walls and lacy floral window shades were definitely not our style, so when Jeff’s family offered to help us paint one weekend, we gratefully accepted their offer and this was one of the rooms that we tackled. The color I picked is called Ancient Marble, by Sherwin-Williams. We had it color-matched to Behr’s Premium Plus Ultra paint. On the chip, it looked more khaki-colored to me, and on the walls it is much more green, but I still think it looks great with all of the fabrics and art from our old master bedroom. We are definitely loving how well the Behr paint covers. Even over the darker accent walls, we have only needed one full coat plus touch ups. After paint, here’s how the rest of the room is looking now:
One of these days maybe we’ll actually hang all of the artwork!
